I love watching the skies but usually there is nothing new to see. Boy was I surprised to learn that the International Space Station was brighter than Venus and has its own TV guide style schedule of when it flies over my house. Of course The Sunset District gets lousy reception, and it does look a lot like an airplane, but still!This gif image is from a French guy with a 16" telescope in France capturing a solar flare on the ISS.
